The PLS180 is powered by three standard AA-sized batteries (included), and it can run over 30 hours between battery changes. Lightweight, compact, and easy to use, the IRT0424 can safely measure hot, hazardous, or hard-to-reach surfaces without damaging them. Employing an ultra efficient non-contact method, the thermometer can provide several readings in a matter of seconds. This advanced thermometer grips comfortably and provides rapid readings without target contact. With a 16:1 distance to target ratio, the thermometer measures smaller surface areas at greater distances.
